How far is Hobart Cityscape from:

  • The Hobart International Airport: 20 minutes by taxi, approximately $50AUD.
  • Salamanca Market: 12-15 minutes walk.
  • Hobart CBD: 6 minute walk.
  • The MONA ferry terminal: 15 minute walk.

Is there car parking available?

  • Hobart Cityscape offers guests free off-street car parking during their stay, one space per apartment.
  • An additional car space may be possible depending upon availability. This will need to be organised in advance. A charge may be applicable.

When is check-in and check-out?

  • Check-in: 2:00pm
  • Check-out: 10:00am

Is an earlier check-in or a later checkout available?

  • Hobart Cityscape will try to accommodate these requests where possible, however it will depend on guest departures/arrivals and cleaning schedules.
  • If an early check-in or late check-out is possible, depending upon the time, an additional charge may be applicable.

Can we leave luggage on arrival or departure?

  • Hobart Cityscape is happy to offer luggage storage if possible and only by prior arrangement.

Can we check-out and leave our car in the apartment space?

  • This may be possible depending upon guest arrivals, therefore you will need to arrange this in advance of leaving your car.

Are Hobart Cityscape’s apartments suitable for group bookings?

  • Yes.  Apartments 1 and 2 are in the same building, with Apartments 3 and 4 in the neighbouring building – so perfect for groups and families travelling together.

What is the difference between apartments?

  • Apartments 1 and 3 are 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartments.
  • Apartment 2 is a 2 bedroom/1 large accessible bathroom apartment.
  • Apartment 4 has an open plan bedroom/dining/lounge area and separate kitchenette and bathroom.
  • Apartments 1, 2 and 3 can all comfortably accommodate up to 5 people (adults and children) and have similar dimensions and décor, but different colour schemes.

What bed configurations can I request for Apartment 1, 2 and 3?

  • Each bedroom can have 1 x king bed or 2 x single beds.
  • An additional single rollaway bed can be added to the larger bedrooms, or in Apartment 1 and 2 the rollaway can be placed in the living area (but this will slightly reduce circulation space as it cannot be packed away).
  • A port-a-cot can be added instead of the rollaway.

Can I add an extra bed or cot to Apartment 4?

  • No. The space is only suitable for a couple or solo traveller.

Are there steps in the apartment or at the entries?

  • Apartment 2 is completely level inside, including bathroom and apartment entrance.
  • Apartment 1 is level inside, however shower bases have lips. There are 3 steps up from street level to the verandah and 1 step up to the front door.
  • Apartment 3 is a split-level apartment, with living area on the lower floor and bedrooms and bathrooms on the upper floor.
  • Apartment 4 is a split-level apartment, with open plan bedroom/lounge/dining area on the lower floor and galley kitchenette and bathroom on the upper floor.

Is there a charge for my child? Can I hire a port-a-cot?

  • The advertised tariffs are for 2 people per night. Extra adults/children incur an additional charges per night, therefore this will affect the total tariff. The child/children rate per night is:
    • Children 13 years and over $55; children 2 – 12 years: $40; Infants under 2 years: free
    • A port-a-cot, high chair and baby bath can be supplied by prior arrangement in advance at a cost of $40 per stay.

Are there local supermarkets close to the apartment that we can walk to?

  • Local grocery stores are a 7 – 12 minute walk from the apartment. These generally close around 7:00pm.
  • Major supermarkets are an 8 minute drive, or 15 minute walk. These are generally open till 10:00pm.
  • Hobart supermarkets are plastic bag free. Recyclable and reusable bags are provided in apartments.

Covid-19 precautions

  • All guests must complete a Covid-19 questionnaire prior to accessing apartments.
  • Self-check-in and check-out will be encouraged to minimise physical contact.
  • To support good hand hygiene, guests will be provided sufficient hand sanitiser and soap products at the property entry points, kitchens and bathrooms.
  • Posters will also advise guests about:
    • Hygiene.
    • Physical distancing.
    • Covid-19 prevention and actions to take if they identify symptoms.
  • Whenever possible, apartments will be left for 24 hours after guests depart and before staff commence cleaning routines.
  • Mid-stay cleaning will not be offered to guests while they are occupying the apartments.
  • Guests are requested to not to bring their own cleaning products to use on Hobart Cityscape surfaces to avoid the instance of damage and claim on security bond.
  • Hobart Cityscape will provide each apartment with cleaning and disinfecting products and cloths to enable guests to clean surfaces that become visibly dirty, there is a spill, or if they are touched by different people whilst staying. All products will be labelled to indicate which areas the products can be safely used on.
  • Upon departure, guests are asked to wipe down surfaces and remove all waste and place it in Council bins. All dirty dishes etc must be stacked in the dishwasher and the dishwasher put ON before leaving. Do not strip bed of linen. Towels must be placed in shower cubicles.
